Fr. Kalyan Paul Lakra a faithful servant and a beloved friar was celebrated his Blissful Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee<\/strong>\u00a0o<\/strong>n\u00a0 <\/span>8th February 2025<\/strong>, <\/span>with great joy and reverence at\u00a0<\/span>St. Francis Academy, Kanthalberia,<\/a> Kolkata, West Bengal<\/strong>. The festivities began at\u00a0<\/span>5:00 PM<\/strong>, as the air filled with anticipation and devotion. The event commenced with a vibrant\u00a0<\/span>processional dance<\/strong>\u00a0performed by the\u00a0<\/span>Mahila Mandal of Holy Family Church<\/strong>, gracefully led by\u00a0<\/span>Mrs. Manju Tigga<\/strong>. Through this beautiful tradition,\u00a0<\/span>Rev. Fr. Kalyan Lakra<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>20 other priests<\/strong>\u00a0were warmly welcomed to the venue. In a heartfelt gesture rooted in tribal customs, their hands were washed as a symbol of purity and respect.<\/span><\/p>

The highlight of the evening was the\u00a0Thanksgiving Mass<\/strong>, presided over by\u00a0Rev. Fr. Kalyan Lakra<\/strong>. During the Mass,\u00a0Smt. Anupa Rekha Ekka<\/strong>\u00a0eloquently narrated the inspiring life story of\u00a0Fr. Kalyan Lakra<\/strong>, recounting his journey of faith and service.\u00a0Rev. Fr. Marcel Dayasagar Barla<\/strong>\u00a0then delivered a captivating sermon, leaving the congregation deeply moved. The Mass was further enriched by the melodious voices of\u00a0Mrs. Sandhya Rekha Dungdung<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Mr. Linus Dungdung<\/strong>, whose hymns resonated with the spirit of gratitude and celebration.<\/p>

Following the Mass, a special\u00a0welcome and reception program<\/strong>\u00a0was held in honor of\u00a0Fr. Kalyan Lakra<\/strong>. The event featured soulful songs that beautifully encapsulated his life and priestly journey, leaving the audience touched by his dedication and humility. As the evening progressed, a grand\u00a0dinner<\/strong>\u00a0was organized to mark the joyous occasion, bringing everyone together in fellowship and celebration.<\/p>

The night reached its cultural pinnacle with the performance of the\u00a0Silo dance<\/strong>, a traditional tribal dance that added a vibrant and heartfelt touch to the festivities. Finally, the Silver Jubilee program concluded with a\u00a0prayer of thanksgiving<\/strong>, leaving everyone with a sense of fulfillment and divine grace.<\/p>

The celebration was graced by the presence of\u00a020 priests<\/strong>\u00a0from various dioceses, who came to honor\u00a0Fr. Kalyan Lakra<\/strong>\u00a0on this momentous occasion. His beloved mother,\u00a0Smt. Dulari Lakra<\/strong>, along with relatives from\u00a0Ranchi, Jharkhand, Bihar, Siliguri -WB and Odisha<\/strong>, witnessed the jubilee with pride and joy. Additionally, the\u00a0Father of Holy Family Church, Kestopur<\/strong>, and other esteemed dignitaries from Kolkata were also in attendance, making the event a truly memorable and blessed gathering.<\/p>

A Journey of Faith, Dedication, and Service<\/h3>

As the faithful gather to celebrate the blissful Sacerdotal Silver Jubilee<\/strong> of Rev. Fr. Kalyan Paul Lakra, OFM Capuchin.<\/strong> on the 8th of february, 2025, at (Kanthalberia) Kolkata. It is a moment to reflect on the remarkable life and service of this humble servant of God<\/a>.<\/p>

Born on January 12, 1969<\/strong>, in the serene village of Rajaulhatu<\/strong> in Namkum<\/strong>, Ranchi Archdiocse , State of Jharkhand. Fr. Kalyan Paul Lakra grew up rooted in faith, nurtured by his devout parents, Late Mr. Marcus Lakra<\/strong> and Mrs. Dulari Lakra<\/strong>. Their unwavering guidance sowed the seeds of spirituality and discipline in his early life, which later flourished into a profound commitment to the Lord\u2019s work.<\/p>

Path to Priesthood <\/strong><\/h3>

Rev. Fr. Kalyan Paul Lakra<\/strong>\u2019s journey into religious life began with his First Profession on May 15, 1992<\/strong>, and culminated in his Final Profession on July 5, 1998<\/strong>. On May 6, 2000<\/strong>, he was ordained as a priest, marking the beginning of a dedicated and purposeful ministry.<\/p>
